AW Media (AW Media & Marketing Ltd) is a Sheffield-based UK web design studio founded in 2016 by Alex Whitehead.
AW Media started in 2016 when Alex realised that small businesses were getting absolutely rinsed by agencies charging thousands for template websites that didn't convert.
The pitch was simple: premium web design at a fair price, built by someone who actually understood the work. No middlemen, no account managers, no 6-week wait times.
Fast forward to today and we've built over 400 websites, won multiple awards back to back, grown into a team of 5, and on 2 June 2026 we hit a full decade in business. We cut our teeth in fitness, and now bring that craft to ambitious UK businesses across every industry.
