Two kinds of customer, one website.

A plumbing and heating website has two very different people landing on it. One has no hot water and wants somebody today. The other is planning a new boiler or a bathroom and is comparing three firms. Most trade sites are built for neither, so both of them ring the next name on the list.

We build websites for plumbers, heating engineers and gas engineers that work for both. A quick route to call or WhatsApp for the emergency, and proper pages for the planned work where the margin is: boiler installs, system upgrades, heat pumps and bathrooms. Your Gas Safe details, your reviews and your own photos sit where people look for them.

We're a web design studio in Sheffield, building since 2016. Every site is custom, never a template, and built so Google and AI search can read exactly what you do and where you do it.

What we build for plumbers and heating engineers.

A Page for Every Job

Boiler installs, servicing, breakdowns, power flushes, unvented cylinders, bathrooms. Each gets its own page written for what people search when they need it, not one Services page with a list on it.

Area Pages for Where You Work

A page for each town or district you cover, written for that place, so somebody nearby finds you instead of a firm two towns over.

Call, WhatsApp or Send a Photo

One tap to ring, and one tap to WhatsApp a photo of the boiler and the error code. Click to call adapts to the device, so it works on a phone and on a laptop.

Live Reviews That Never Go Blank

Your Google reviews pulled onto the site automatically and shown in its own design, with no third-party widget slowing the page down.

Gas Safe and Accreditations Up Front

Your Gas Safe number, manufacturer accreditations, warranties and insurance shown clearly, because that's what people check before they let you in the house.

Domain, Email and Hosting Moved Over

If you already have a domain or email, we move it across with every record checked by hand, so nothing goes down on the day you switch.

Why heating engineers choose AW Media.

01

We've done this exact job.

Adept Heating came to us with five star reviews and no website, while three firms with less proof sat above him on Google. We built him 34 pages: 17 for his services and 10 for the areas he covers.

02

No page builder underneath.

Trade sites are usually a page builder, five plugins and a contact form nobody's tested. That's why they're slow and why they break. Ours are built clean, so they stay quick on a phone.

03

Changes made by the people who built it.

We're a small team in Sheffield. After launch you message us and the change gets made by the people who already know your site.

Plumbing and heating websites: the questions people ask.

Straight answers to what plumbers and heating engineers ask us before they start, and to what their customers look for before they ring.

What should a plumbing and heating website include?

Start with what a customer checks before they ring. What you do, where you cover, whether you're Gas Safe registered, what other people said about you and how quickly they can get hold of you. If any of that takes more than a few seconds to find, they go back to Google.

In practice that's a homepage that says what you do and where in one line, a page for each service, a page for each area, your Gas Safe and accreditation details, your reviews, your own photos of real jobs, and a call button that stays on screen on a phone.

Emergency callouts and planned installs need different pages

Somebody stood next to a broken boiler isn't filling in a long form. They want a number, a sign you cover their area and proof you're legit. That page should be short and make ringing the obvious thing to do.

A new boiler is different. People compare brands, warranties, finance and prices, and they read. A good install page answers those questions, then asks for what you need to quote: the property, the current system and when they want it done.

How do plumbers get found on Google and AI search?

Google and AI assistants like ChatGPT recommend businesses they can understand and trust. That comes down to a page for each service and area, the same business details everywhere, an active Google Business Profile, plenty of genuine reviews and a site that's quick on a phone.

We build the website side of that in. On Adept Heating that meant FAQ schema across 17 pages and our own sitemap, robots file and llms.txt, so AI tools read the site as cleanly as Google does. The reviews and the Business Profile are the part you keep going.

What we built for Adept Heating

Adept Heating is a Gas Safe heating engineer in South Yorkshire. Every enquiry came through word of mouth, and anybody who searched found the competition instead. The business also rebranded and moved area halfway through the project, which re-anchored every location page and all the local SEO with it.

We built 34 bespoke pages, with everything in one custom plugin and no page builder. His real Google reviews are pulled in twice a day and shown in our own card design, there's one tap to WhatsApp a photo of the boiler, and the domain, DNS, SSL and Microsoft 365 email all moved across with no downtime.

Why not a template or a trade website builder?

A template is cheap to start, and for a brand new sole trader it can be enough to get going. The catch is that it looks like everyone else's, it's often slow on a phone, and the area pages it gives you are the same words with the town swapped, which Google has learned to ignore.

If a boiler install is worth a good few thousand pounds to you, the site only has to win a handful of extra ones to have earned its keep.

Plumber website questions.

How much does a website for a plumber or heating engineer cost?

It depends on how many services and areas it covers and what it needs to connect to. Every site is custom and priced on its own scope, and you get a straight number after a free call, before anything starts.

I've got no website at all. Where do I start?

That's where Adept Heating started. We sort the domain and email first, then build the pages for the jobs you want more of and the areas you cover. You don't need anything written beforehand. We ask the right questions and write it with you.

Can you put my Google reviews on the site?

Yes. We pull them in automatically and show them in the site's own design, refreshed through the day, so new reviews turn up without you doing anything and the section never sits empty.

Can customers send me a photo of the problem?

Yes. A WhatsApp button opens a chat with you on their phone, so they can send a photo of the boiler and the error code before you've even rung back. It helps you price the job or turn up with the right part.

How long does a plumbing website take?

Around 4 weeks for an AI-accelerated website of up to 5 pages, and 6 to 8 weeks for a fully bespoke site of up to 8 pages. A bigger site with lots of service and area pages gets a clear timeline before we start.

Will I show up in ChatGPT and Google's AI answers?

Nobody can promise that, and be wary of anyone who does. We build the site so AI tools can read it cleanly. Add genuine reviews and a complete Google Business Profile and you give them every reason to recommend you.
