People don't know what they've got. Your website should tell them.

Nobody searches for a damp proofing company because they fancy one. They've got a black patch on the bedroom wall, a musty smell under the stairs or a homebuyer's survey that's flagged rising damp. They don't know what it is, what it'll cost or who to believe.

A good damp proofing website meets them there. It explains condensation, rising damp and penetrating damp in plain English, helps them work out which one they're looking at, and shows them that a survey is the sensible first step before anyone pays for the wrong fix.

We build websites for damp proofing, timber treatment, waterproofing and property care firms. Your own job photos, your real reviews, your accreditations and guarantees, and a survey booking that works on a phone. Every site is custom, never a template.

What we build for damp proofing firms.

Surveys First, Everywhere

The survey leads the menu, the first screen and its own page, and every Book a survey button opens the form with the survey already picked. It was the one thing Richard at SBS asked for above everything else.

Pages That Explain the Problem

Condensation, rising damp, penetrating damp, black mould, wet and dry rot, wall ties. Each page covers the signs to look for, how you treat it step by step and the questions people ask.

Your Jobs in Your Own Photos

A work page filtered by type of job, and before and afters that show what you actually fixed. No stock photos of somebody holding a moisture meter.

Reviews People Believe

Your Checkatrade or Google reviews quoted word for word, each credited with the job, the postcode and the month, so a visitor sees work done near them.

Guarantees and Accreditations Up Front

Trade body membership, guarantees, insurance and qualifications, shown where people look before they let a specialist drill into their walls.

Call and Quote Pinned on Phones

On a phone, Call now and Free quote stay pinned to the bottom of the screen, so nobody has to scroll back up to find you.

Why damp specialists choose AW Media.

01

We've built this exact site.

SBS Building & Damp Proofing have over 25 years in damp proofing and 9.98 out of 10 on Checkatrade from 150 reviews. We rebuilt their site around damp surveys, their own photos and their customers' own words.

02

We find what's quietly losing you work.

SBS's old site looked fine at a glance, but the page stopped scrolling at the gallery, so most visitors never reached the phone number. Six pages shared one title and none of the 71 images were labelled for Google. We look for that first.

03

A real team on the end of the phone.

We're a small team in Sheffield. You talk to the people building your site, and after launch changes get made quickly by people who already know it.

Damp proofing websites: the questions people ask.

Straight answers to what damp and property care firms ask us before they start, and to what their customers want to know before they book.

What should a damp proofing website include?

Plain-English pages on each kind of damp and what causes it, a page for each treatment you offer, your own photos of real jobs, reviews, your accreditations and guarantees, the areas you cover and an easy way to book a survey.

The order matters. Most visitors arrive worried and unsure. Help them understand what they're looking at first, then show them you've fixed it before, then make booking the survey the obvious next step.

Why the survey should lead

Damp is easy to get wrong. Condensation gets sold a damp proof course, a leaking gutter gets blamed on rising damp, and the homeowner pays for a fix that doesn't work. A survey finds the cause first, which is better for them and better for your reputation.

On SBS's site, damp surveys come first in the menu, lead the first screen, get a dark band of their own under the stats and a page of their own. Every survey button opens the form with the survey already picked, so there's one less thing to fill in.

Homebuyers, landlords and homeowners

A lot of damp work starts with a survey report on a house sale, a landlord with a tenant complaining about mould, or a homeowner who's had enough of repainting the same wall. Each wants to know something different: how quickly you can come out, whether you'll put it in writing, what the guarantee covers.

An answer for each in the right place means fewer phone calls asking the same questions and more surveys booked.

Making your reviews do the selling

Damp proofing runs on trust, and most firms have a pile of reviews on Checkatrade or Google that nobody sees on their website. SBS had 150 of them. We quoted them word for word, spelling and all, each one credited with the job, the postcode and the month.

We built their areas page from those reviews too, with jobs counted by postcode and S6 out in front on 39. That tells somebody nearby more than any line we could write.

How do damp proofing firms get found on Google?

People search for the symptom as often as the service: black mould on the walls, damp coming through a chimney breast, a rising damp survey near them. A page for each problem you fix, written properly, catches those searches.

We build in the technical side too. Every page has its own title and description, the business is marked up for Google, there's a sitemap and a summary for AI search, and old page addresses point at their new pages, the way the six old SBS addresses do.

Damp proofing website questions.

How much does a website for a damp proofing company cost?

It depends on how many treatments and areas the site covers and how much of your work and reviews it pulls in. We price every site on its own scope and give you a straight number after a free call.

Can you put our Checkatrade reviews on the site?

Yes. We quote them word for word and credit each one with the job and the area, so they read as real customers rather than a scrolling widget. Google reviews can come in as well.

We do building work as well as damp. Can the site show both?

Yes. SBS do both. Damp leads because it's what they want more of, and the building work sits alongside it, from wall ties to loft conversions.

Can people send photos of the damp before a survey?

Yes. The form can take photos, and a WhatsApp button lets people send a picture straight from their phone, which helps you decide how urgent it is and what to bring.

How long does a damp proofing website take?

Around 4 weeks for an AI-accelerated website of up to 5 pages, and 6 to 8 weeks for a fully bespoke site of up to 8 pages. A bigger site with lots of treatment pages gets a clear timeline before we start.
