How We Build a Website in 7 Days (Without Cutting Corners)

Seven-day builds sound like "we'll smash a template together". They are not. Here is the actual AI-Accelerated process, day by day, with what's in and what's not.

When someone hears "7-day website build", they usually picture one of two things. Either a £99 Fiverr job with a template and the wrong stock photos, or a sleep-deprived freelancer drinking Red Bull and shipping a broken site at 3am on day seven. Neither is what we do.

Our AI-Accelerated 7-day process is fast because the process is tight, the team is experienced, and AI does the bits computers are genuinely better at, like generating ten hero variations in the time it used to take to do one. Here is what the seven days actually look like.

Day 1: Brief and brand decisions

Most of the wasted time on a website project is wasted at the start. Nobody decided what the site is for, who it speaks to, or what "good" looks like, so weeks two and three become an argument dressed up as feedback.

We kill that on day one. A 60 to 90 minute call covers the brief, the audience, the offer, the homepage hierarchy, and three brand directions (if you do not already have a brand). By the end of day one we have written agreement on positioning, page structure, and visual direction. No more committee opinions appearing on day five.

Day 2: Wireframes

Low-fidelity wireframes for every page. Black, white, grey. No colour, no fonts, no photos. Why? Because if a layout works in wireframe it will work in design. If it does not, you waste a week of design pretending the structure is fine.

You sign off the wireframes at the end of day two. That signoff is what makes the rest of the week possible.

Days 3 to 5: Design and build

This is where the AI acceleration earns its keep. The same three days that used to be 14 in a traditional studio. Here is what AI actually does, and what it does not.

AI does:

  • Generates design variations fast. We can ship 4 hero directions by lunchtime instead of one by Thursday.
  • Drafts copy that we then edit, sharpen and rewrite in your voice. The blank page is killed in 5 minutes, not 5 days.
  • Cuts out backgrounds, generates supporting imagery, sources on-brand visuals so we are not held up waiting on a stock photo licence.

AI does not:

  • Decide what your business stands for.
  • Write your final headline.
  • Replace a designer with taste.
  • Build the actual site code. That is still hands on keyboards, in modern frameworks (Next.js, Tailwind v4, Motion) by humans who know what they are doing.

Day 6: Client review

By day six the site is built, content-loaded, working on mobile, and live on a staging URL. You get one structured round of feedback. Not a free-for-all email chain. A timestamped Loom or a Notion comment thread.

We refine, sharpen, swap any images, tighten copy, fix any of the small things only a fresh pair of eyes will catch. That is your moment to push hard. Use it.

Day 7: Launch and handover

Final QA on all devices, Core Web Vitals run, accessibility check, analytics installed, contact forms tested, DNS pointed, site live. Then a Loom walkthrough so you can update content yourself, and a written handover doc.

What is in scope, and what is not

Worth saying out loud, because not saying it is how disappointment gets manufactured.

In scope on a 7-day AI-Accelerated build:

  • 5 to 7 page custom-feel website
  • Mobile-first responsive design
  • Copy assistance (we draft, you approve)
  • Image work and basic asset creation
  • Deploy, DNS, analytics, contact form

Not in scope on a 7-day build (these live in our Bespoke lane):

  • Multi-language sites
  • Complex CRM or booking integrations
  • Full bespoke brand identity from scratch
  • E-commerce stores (separate timeline, separate pricing)
  • Custom animations that need a week of motion design

Why fast does not have to mean nasty

Speed gets a bad name because most cheap-fast websites are templates with the colour swapped. Ours are not. The difference is process and people. Decisions made early. Right tools in the right hands. AI used to remove drag, not replace craft.

7 days, properly run, beats 7 weeks of drift. Every time.
