MADE
MADE is an independent açaí and matcha bar with two shops, on Ecclesall Road in Sheffield and Lower Briggate in Leeds, and a third coming in Broomhill. Their own matcha, a full menu, a run of brand collabs, and a holding page at madematcha.com. We built a site that makes you want a matcha before you've left the house: build your usual and see what it costs, find the nearer shop, or book them for your event. Their last notes came in on the evening of 3 November and it was live the next morning.

The challenge.
MADE had outgrown its holding page. Seven months after opening in Sheffield they took a gamble on Leeds, Broomhill is next, and the menu lived on the board in the shop.
Two cities, one site. Someone in Leeds needs the Leeds hours, the Leeds pre-order and the fro-yo that only Leeds does, without wading through Sheffield's.
Events had become a big part of it: pop-ups, run clubs and store openings, for brands like Kiehl's and Schuh. There was nowhere for the next brand to ask.
Our approach.
The first screen says it in four words: matcha, MADE your way. Their own cups and bowls cut out over crumpled matcha paper, both shops named before you scroll, and one button to the menu.
The one decision: a menu you play with. The matcha-ometer on the home page is the same one they have in store. Pick hot or iced, your flavour, your milk and your strength, the cup fills as you go and the price adds up, so you know your usual before you're in the queue.
Their own matcha, poured as you scroll. Three cultivars, never pre sweetened, and the cup fills from MADE's own footage while you read why.
Give it a whisk. A little game: zigzag over the bowl with your mouse or your finger until it's lovely and frothy, then the nudge to come and get a real one.
The line-up slides past as you scroll: every açaí bowl, smoothie and sandwich, with what's in it and what it costs.
The menu page is the board in the shop: matcha, açaí bowls, smoothies, toasted rye sandwiches, coffee and fro-yo. Can't decide? Shuffle it and it picks something for you, price and all.
Which shop is nearer me? One tap works it out, and each shop has its own hours, directions and map. Leeds gets its own pre-order button to their Square shop, and Broomhill is already on there, coming soon.
Catering gets its own page: brand collabs and pop-ups, run clubs and store openings, with the brands they've done it for. The enquiry form fills a cup as you go, and every enquiry lands in MADE's inbox in their own colours, ready to reply to.
The about page is theirs: why they started, in the words of their one year post, why it's called MADE, their own matcha from Kyoto, and from one shop to three.
Built as a custom WordPress plugin with a locked editor, so every word, price and photo is theirs to change without touching the design. Google Analytics behind a consent banner, Search Console, and 15 searches tracked from launch day.

More projects.
Team Tonk
Jimmy Tonkinson is an IFBB Pro in Classic Physique who coaches online as Team Tonk. Every new client came through word of mouth: a basic enquiry form, then a Loom from Jimmy. We built the front door and the clubhouse behind it, a website that sells the coaching and takes applications, and a client area with Jimmy's lesson library and the team's own community. Thirteen days from go-ahead to signed off.
Skulpt Online Coaching
Shane Parsons coaches triathletes online at Skulpt Online Coaching, with Coach Steve, and we had already built his app. What he didn't have was a website: “I haven't got a landing page or website or nothing.” We built one that sells one thing, getting in shape through triathlon, with a page for each search his athletes make and an application that lands with Shane. Three days from his message to live, and his first application came in the same day.
Strength In Us
Strength In Us is Sarah Catterson's coaching business in Greystones, Ireland: the StrengthInUs app, and a coaching challenge that has sold out all 40 times it has run. The business had outgrown its website. We rebuilt it around the app, put her members' results straight under the first screen and told the whole offer in Sarah's own words. Ten days from the first concept to live.
